Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to ION undergo a double-blind peer review process.
- Initial Screening
The editorial team evaluates each manuscript for scope relevance, formatting, and plagiarism (using Turnitin or iThenticate, max 20%).
- Peer Review
- Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise.
- The review process typically takes 2–4 weeks.
- Reviewers remain anonymous to authors (double-blind).
- Decision
Based on reviewers’ feedback, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision
- Accept with minor revisions
- Accept with major revisions
- Reject
- Revision and Resubmission
Authors are expected to submit revised manuscripts within two weeks. Revised versions must include a response letter addressing reviewers’ comments.
